What started as an online challenge has made me more aware of mass production and over consumption. It’s staggering to see how much garbage that is on the street. The notion that all of those will stay with us for centuries and most of them will end up in the ocean is just terrifying.
Even recyclability and carbon neutrality has become sales tactics, just another reason for brands to sell and generate more garbage.
WAST(yp)E are made of real trash on the street, sculpted into letters and scanned with the 3D scanner app Polycam. This project explores the idea of recycling in graphic design and the digital world.
